20th December 2025 - O Key of David

O Key of David and sceptre of Israel,
what you open no one else can close again;
what you close no one can open.
O come to lead the captive from prison;
free those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death.

It would be difficult to reflect on this antiphon as this Holy Year of Hope draws to a close without making the connction to the Jubilee Year and the significance of the Holy Door.

We are 'opening' our Christmas shop, it's that time of year again!

This year, we are selling our cards in variety packs of either 6 or 12, or, as in previous years,
you can order packs of just one design, according to your preference.

Our sisters are also busy designing and making Christmas candles which will be available to order shortly.

A very Special Tree Panting

Last Thursday (21st August) we had the privilege of hosting a very special tree planting, as part of the "St. Oliver 400" celebration of the National Heritage Week. The Oak sapling that was planted had been grown from an acorn taken from one of the Oak trees, which stood on the grounds of the house that St Oliver Plunkett lived in in the 1660s, in Ardpatrick, Co. Louth.
